White temple, Monkey Cave. (Wat Tam Pla), Doi Tung with Visa Run

Daily (06.30 a.m. – 09.00 p.m.) 
One full day trip to Chiang Rai, located 150 kilometres from Chiang Mai city, will make the first stop for rest at Chiang Rai hot Spring(Mae Khajan). Visit at the White Temple in Chiang Rai to enjoy the unique architecture. Head to Mea Sai to do a Visa Run . Then drive to visit  Monkey Cave. (Wat Tam Pla)  this temple that get’s it’s name from the “Fish Tale” shape of the nearby cave / canyon. It’s also known as Monkey Temple after the macaques that live there. You can buy some fruit etc to feed to these monkey and the carp in the nearby pond for as little as 20 baht. You also can walk to Tham Ku Kao (Turtle Cave) located towards the right of the entrance. Bring your own torch though as there are no guides and before long you can be crawling on your hands and knees! Then drive one more hour to visit Doi Tung a northern Thailand begins at this socio-economic and environmental development site, a project of the late Princess Mother. See where she resided at the Doi Tung Royal Villa while working on the Doi Tung reforestation project. Your guide will also accompany you to Wat Phra That Doi Tung. 
6:30 AM            Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai city.
8:40 AM            Take a rest at Chiang  Rai Hot Springs (Mae Khajan).
9:00 AM            Leave the hot spring, head to the White Temple.
10:00 AM          Arrive at White Temple, a unique temple done all in white. Enjoy a beautiful modern 
                         style temple.
11:00 AM          Head to Mea Sai for Visa Run.
12:00 PM          Run the visa 
1:00 PM            Try a delicious Shan Noodle for lunch at local restaurant.
2:40 PM            Head to Monkey Cave. (Wat Tam Pla) 
3.40 PM            Drive about 40 minutes hour to Doi Tung.
5.00 PM            Head back to Chiang Mai
9.00 PM            Drop back at your hotel in Chiang Mai.
